keep telnet session open?

Postby wizeone » Wed Sep 14, 2016 2:01 am

is there a decent telnet client out there that wont drop the connection after being idle for like a minute? windows telnet, telemate and syncterm all seem to drop the connection after about a min of no input. most of the time tbbs does not see them as disconnected clients and keeps that line open

Are you seeing this with tiad-ng?

Tiad-ng drops idle clients after 2 minutes, but should notify tbbs to close the connection. Will look into making this configurable.

not seeing anything new added to the tiad-ng window when i get the "NO Carrier" message in telemate.

seems like after a while of play(6-9 mins) that the system stops responding to input. (while in vsysop it gives the messages like i am afk but it will not take any input from me.) then tiad-ng will kill the line after about 2 mins

I've been using the old hyper terminal program from an old copy of XP. Just copy it over and some DLLs and it works really well
